This weekend, I was able to pick up four relatively common RPMs. I believe that I have figured them each out, but would appreciate your expert confirmation:
1944-D/D RPM1
1953-D/D RPM1
1956-D/D RPM1
1960-D/D RPM1
Photos are attached for each item.

Does that 44D/D match up with the markers?
Nice finds...those are all top 100 rpms!

Shingpumps: What markers are you referring to? I am pretty new to this...

Brad: Do you think these are all correctly attributed?

I think Shing is referring to the correct position of the MM on this RPM. Also the marker's associated with it. I think your 1944 D is the the Coneca 1944 D RPM #2. It is a good find none the less.

Rum,
Follow this link and type the approiate Date and MM to see pictures. Also you can search other Dates on this Website. There are pictures on this Website you can also search.

When I say markers I mean any marks, spots, or cracks that were on the die when the coin was struck. With those marks you can confirm the variety and it's die stage.
By the way, you got some nice coins.
The 1944 D/D is rpm #2. That one is bolder than rpm #1 anyway.
If you are using Coppercoins, I would recommend always starting with this page: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/date.php

I agree Brad. It may not be up to date but it's reliable source of pictures.

When I go in using that link I cant get anything newer than 2001. Yet I know he has pics of newer cents such as 2006 etc.
How do I get to those?
Also if I start at coppercoins.com my Internet explorer locks up totally.

When I use that link, it goes to 1944d. From there I can go to the main date guide, but from there I cant get to anything newer than 2001.
What am I doing wrong?

The coppercoins website is only partially functional. There are a lot of listings that you can't access directly; there may be other methods that work but this is what I do:
1- Go to the date guide main page
2- Pick an arbitrary older year; I usually do 1996 or 1995 for whatever reason
3- Select the variety listing on top AS IF it were the year you're interested in
4- On that new page, go to the address bar and change the year to the year you want
For example, for 2006 P DDOs- on step 3 I'd pick 1996 P DDO, which brings me to this page:
http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/dietype.php?date=1996&die_mint=p&die_type=do&page=0
if you click on that link you will see in the address bar part of the address that looks like
"date=1996", just change that to "date=2006" and hit enter, and you'll be at this page:
http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/dietype.php?date=2006&die_mint=p&die_type=do&page=0
from which you can look through all the 2006 P DDO listings.
Thanks AG, I'll try it.
By the way, if you see a Buick with CT plates lurking around banks in your area next week it'll be me. I'll mostly be in VT., but I plan to make a side trip to the Portland area for some lobster and some pennies.

Heh- have fun in Portland! There are so many out of state plates that you'll fit right in.
