1960D bu dbl mm

So far, no match in The RPM Book.
No positive match at coppercoins.com.
Possible matches are 008, 038, 067.
This coin is bu and has virtually no die scratches for comparison on either side. However, if you look at the bust there is a very skimpy die crack on the head about 10:00 from the back of the head across to about midway above the eye. On the reverse there is a very tiny die crack that runs at the very edge of the decoration on the first roof, but I could not get it to show up in a picture. This die crack is about the same width as column 12 and does not go down at the corner.

If it has no marker's of a listed coin it must be a EDS. If it is , "Congrat's"

Thanks for the kudos.
I still don't know which one it is.
In eight of the ten original old bank rolls I received yesterday I have found at least 70 of these, and I still have two more rolls to search.
There are a couple more other error or variety coins I haven't been able to place.
Maybe someone will chime in over the weekend with the solution.

i looked on Coppercoins and first i thought it was #68 then #63. then on 68 it said take a look at #61. so many possiblities but on #68 it looks like a die crack on Lincolns head just as you mentioned.

1960D mm again

I decided to take a few more pictures of the 60D that I posted earlier.
The first picture shows the forehead die break a bit better.

Next is the reverse where the die break is shown on 068 at coppercoins, but is not the same. This die break is right along the edge of the first roof where the decorations attach.

The other two are different angles on the mint mark that might help identify the coin better. As you can see, the larger image from the paint shop program shows there are die scratches. Previously I said there are no discernible die scratches... which is true at 15X.

I still have a lot of these to photograph. Some have no die break on the forehead, some have a differently angled die break, and some have similar die breaks but no doubling on the mint mark.

Even though it is exciting to find so many variety cents in a couple rolls of bu coins, it is well balanced by the chore of trying photographing and trying to properly identify them all.
