You'd think I would be able to better identify these things by now eh? Is this a 'great' example of Machine Doubling? (How many creative ways can I ask this same redundant question? lol)
Yes, that is classic machine doubling. Were this a true doubled die, the doubling would be more rounded, the devices thicker and the serfs split. Instead, the doubling is shelf like which equals md.
Check out these pictures of the 1964P-1DR-001. Were your coin a true doubled die reverse it would look more like this:
Thank you Mark. When my phone gets charged up later I will snap a pic of how I'm shooting my pictures here.
EV1 else, thank you for your help, I needed it. I think I learned a new think while vacaying in the DR...drink and drink lots, it make my vision better and my judgment too! Weird eh?
Lara. Those are really GREAT pics!! What setup are you using?
Thanks
Mark
Here is a 1960 LD RPM. I think it is the 027 only a different stage than what shows on CC because my markers don't completely match theirs. A couple do, a couple don't. Anyway...
OK, here is my set up. Just read the title of each pic to understand my slideshow. Also, I have finally figured my cam settings. I use macro (shut off my zoom capability because my macro does it for me) and use the "ESP" setting. I shut my flash off, (under my "Picture" setting) I use the indoor lighting setting, cuisine setting and my pixels (I think I called that right) is 640x480
dun't know if this helps you any. It took me quite awhile of trying to figure this out. I went a long time not posting pictures because I was too frustrated with my camera not capturing what I saw.
Take an afternoon to fiddle around with your camera and write down every step (change in the settings) you take. Once you got what you're after. SET IT PERMANENTLY. Trust me!
