Got this in a mixed roll from ebay, I usually don't buy these but no one had bid on them and the price was right. less than .04 cents each for pre 40's

The mint mark position seems right, but is it possible to get a pic of LIBERTY? The distortion should let us know. The tail of the 9 in the date of the variety is huge. This one looks like it may have taken a hit, so we will need to see the other diagnostics for it to be sure one way or the other.Bob Piazza

Early die states are easy to recognize. The die was worked on to get a LDS which does not make the tail of the "9" look so fat. But it is a great coin to fined..
