        Personally, I don't see how Billy determined this to be doubled die. I see absolutely nothing that resembles it., especially with a spread that significant.

          Exactly what I was thinking when I saw it. Wexler lists another one, WDDO-001, which is in the ARLC 2nd Ed. We've been keeping our eyes open for that one.

              unreal, i threw this coin away as i thought it was an abraded doubling or gas bubble. never knew this coin existed. very wide spread as Bob has noted. i guess i should look for it again lol.

                It's not a plating blister. It could be some sort of die anomaly. I don't think it has anything to do with a clash. And it is not WDDO-001. If anyone finds another I would like to see it so I might be able to pin down what it is or what it isn't.

                        I believe that we are looking at 1999P-1DER-038WS for the wavy step. The "double ear" is not a doubled die.
