1970 s, is it large or small?

    Good morning/afternoon all,

I'm generally pretty good at spotting the difference on the 70 s'... This time, not so much.

    I'm looking for opinions....

    1. Do you feel this a small or large date?

    2. Do you see anything unique about the 's'?

    Thanks for your help.

I agree with Andrew. Definitely a large date and machine doubling on the S.

          Foiled again! Ha-ha!

Maybe it's just my pre-caffeinated state, whichever. I really struggled with this one this morning. Personally, never seen md on a large (or small for that matter) before. Then again, I've only been at this about a year, and am an Indian Head/Wheatie hunter... making my first bold leaps into the Lincoln realm.

Stranger to strangers, your help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks. :-)

              Thanks Peter! :-)

I will conduct more due diligence in the future. I was looking for a specific response from others. After Googling for different photos of the small vs. large... it only confused the situation for me even further.

Thank you again for the welcome, and advice. I look forward to posting and seeking pro-active insight opinion here, often.

              Cheers.

Welcome. I never even look at the date anymore. If its a weak strike on Liberty, its a small date.
