    1982 1do-003

Found this one right out of the gate tonight. It always stumps me but this one made it easier.

Sorry but this is a normal 82 large date. They are known for thick devices. An easy way to tell is to compare the space between the B and I. Keep looking you'll find one.

Ok. Help me understand the L and I portion. How close is it supposed to be?

When I look through my loop it looks like the 003. The B looks the same. The "WE" is definitely fat and it appears to have the other die markers.

Maybe the photo isn't the best for that portion.

The B and the I in 003 are about as close as they can get without touching. If you look at yours there is a decent sized space between them. As for the thick devices (lettering) this is normal on 82 large dates.

Ok. I think I understand what you are saying. I see it easier to see the "closeness" between the I and the B now.

The close as it can be part helped.

Darn thing is tricky. Must be a really fat I.

            Thanks.

              Oh sorry that's what I meant I and B.

Keep looking as they are still out in circulation and can be found.
