For those of you who PMd me about what a 'Peg Leg R' is, in this case, it is a mistake. This die was hubbed at least twice, and one of those hubbings was with a hub that had a broken/missing left leg of the R in LIBERTY. There is also reference to a Peg leg R for the Ike Dollars that is much more established.
I do not know who started calling the 1936 dies 'Peg Leg', but it is not appropriate in this case. It is also confusing to new folks who are not familiar with the lingo. To some, it's just a funny name, but to other's it is confusing. Could we please use the correct terminology on these? Thanks!

They used that broken R hub on many dies, some are normal (not doubled dies) and they used it on the 3 big doubled dies but on those doubled dies they also used a non broken hub.
