I like it! Might just be me, but it looks like it has several splits. It does look like a new one. The only thing I can think of where it may have been attributed, would be an LDS rotated that dosent show the north repunch.
Appears to be a new one to me also... Definite on the D/D but not sure on the D/D/D unless it is rotated 90 degrees CW??? The line north of the serif appears to go to far west to be the upper serif of another MM when taking in to consideration the loop inside the primary MM!!!
Jim (A.K.A. Elmer Fudd) Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!

I included the angled pick because there is a die scratch leading into the upper anomaly. The angled pick hopefully showes what looks to me like part ofthe vertical bar leading up out of the upper partofthe main mintmark.

So sad ... My reverse consumption engine was a broken fuel gauge ... gonna look at coins now. John

The portion coming off the top of the MM headed north looks more like part of a die abrasion to me??? Not to sure tho... In the straight on pic I can see a couple of abrasions that appear to line up with that part... Unless I'm looking at something different than what you are!!!

I think it is just a coincidence that the abrasion flows right into the rpm to the north.
