A surprising find from the wild!

    Hello again everyone,

Many of you may already know that mint sets are an excellent source for the 1970S-1MM-001's as well as the 1970-S small dates. I always check these sets and have done pretty well with them over the years. However, up until last night, I have never found a 1970S-1MM-001 in a general bag from circulation. I've found a couple of 1MM-002's, but never the -001. This coin could still have been broken out of a set, but it was a real surprise find for me. Double bonus points for it being in decent shape, and in a nice, early Stage B/EDS die state! Thanks for looking and happy searching!

Nice find and in great shape John. The darker shade of the coin seems to enhance the boldness of the RPM. Congrats.

This is a very nice find. I have found two of them in the wild and another 3 in Mint sets. Congrats on the find.

I was unaware of such a strong 70's rpm from SanFran.
                      Thanks for posting this
