    1909S RPM

Here are 1909S RPM-002 (S over horizontal S) and RPM-001. The overlay for the horizontal is pretty darn close to fitting. I have found that overlays don't often fully answer my questions. But they help. The 001 is so obviously another S an overlay is not needed. Wish the coin's condition was better...

    1909S RPM-002 FS-1502 (12.3) S/S horizontal S

    1909S RPM-001 FS-1501 (12.2) S/S NE

I think, from Wile's photos, it is just the way the two strong punches intertwine as they are nicely overlapped. I'd have to see a EDS/EMDS in AU/BU shape under my scope to search out a third punching myself. I am doubting I'll just find one in change anytime soon though...
