Just when I was about to wrap it up and call it a night, this awesome looking DD showed up! I really think this one deserves an FS#!

Great find Viv and I agree, this one should have an FS#!! Wow that is one cool DDO! It's so funny, with the die chip in the 4, just in case your not sure about the crazy distortion everywhere!! And then of course the FOOTBALL!!

        WTG Viv.
Those are so much fun to find. A real pleasure that is soooo relaxing in a way, because there is no struggling to attribute.

Thank you Jon and Cliff! Yes indeed, this doubled die has some crazy thickness and distortion especially on the date and TRUST, and of course the FOOTBALL! I was really getting tired and this one woke me up... searched a few more rolls before calling it a night! I'm seeing a ridge ring forming on the East side of the coin between the last T of TRUST and the date so I think it's more MDS than EMDS. It appears that an EDS of this DD hasn't been listed yet, so maybe there's and EDS out there without the die chip in the 4.

Excellent find Vivien... I agree this is a candidate for a FS# but then again I have no idea what the rules are... I can think of 3 reasons that no EDS/Stage A samples are listed - 1) No one has submitted a sample for inclusion into the files or 2) Maybe the chip was on the die to begin with or 3) The die chipped just after production began resulting in only a few samples without the chip!!!

Thank you Jim! Yep, it would be cool to find this variety without the die chip in the 4! I am curious how the FS system works. I have wondered if the professional attributor's like Bob, Wexler or Dr. Wiles has to present it as such and then it gets decided.

Oops... I didn't mean to bring up a sore subject! And, I don't want you to get in trouble again. Should we ask Roger and Peter for permission to discuss this? Okay, sending you a PM!
