1938-D DDR1/RPM2

Fairly certain I have this attributed correctly and I am thinking it might be at a mid-stage because the die flow lines aren't as pronounced (as on the late stage copies I have seen). At least the DDR looks to be as strong as DDR1 and the mint mark lines up with RPM2 in my overlay.

Though I question it because the RPM does not even seem as robust as on later stage versions of the variety. On this coin the secondary looks more like die deterioration than an extra mint mark.

Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

I think you nailed it... Yours looks closer to CCs MDS sample for the RPM and DDR... Maybe an EMDS unless the die wear lines on yours are washed out by lighting???
