    1988-D RDV-006, MS-66 and MS-65 FS-901 Flared G

Here are pics of the MS-66 and the MS-65. I am planning on auctioning them at greatcollections.com, There was a MS-66 that sold for $1,351 plus fees here just last year. Appreciate any suggestions on this matter, I do think the one I got has a better strike, but seems there are spots that I did not notice, but it still graded 66, 65. Thank you!

Like to hear the result. Mine is a 64 and when I submitted it that was the highest recorded by ANACS if I remember correctly. Nice coins BTW. Did you pull them searching rolls?

Back in 1988 in the latter part of the year, I was looking through bank rolls, I stapled many I thought were choice examples, these I noticed had real nice reverses compared to most of them, and nice obverses as well. Sadly I probable let a lot go not knowing what they were. When I heard about these 22 years later, and the lone example of Denver (lincolncentresource), I dug up all my coins and found that I had 4, or maybe it was 5, I was shocked, I sold one on ebay for about 300 raw. Thanks for looking!

Yeah, but that one that sold for $1300 was in a PCGS holder. You realize that's a big difference, right?

Yah, that s**k, I wonder if I should try to get it in a PCGS holder, just to dang expensive, maybe I should try a coin dealer around here or in the next state, not sure what to do at this point, thanks Will!

I'm just saying, PCGS will not give those same grades.

Hey Will, you know that coin that had the abrasion on the FG, and you wondered how it got a 65, do you think dipping it in Acetone would help or make the coin worse?

Not sure if acetone would discolor the exposed zinc or not??? You may want to try it on a coin of no value with exposed zinc that is not discolored before attempting it on your coin that is slabbed already!!!
