2009-D, doubled die reverse

It is official. We have the first 2009-D Lincoln cent doubled die reverse, Billy Crawford has it listed as CDDR-001 and John Wexler has it listed as WDDR-001. I have sent one to Bob P. for his examination to enter it on Coppercoins.

Also, another similar Denver die has been listed by Billy Crawford as CDDR-005 and it can be seen on Coppercoins as 2009D-1DR-001.

With the ever increasing amount of 2009 (EC) reverse doubled dies being found, I would suggest that we start looking at the Denver mint ECs. I am sure that there is a doubled die waiting to be found.

Were these found in Fed rolls, US Mint rolls or circulated bank rolls?

These two dies were found in Strings & Son wrapped bank rolls. I am sure that there are more to be found; one does not open two sets of Denver rolls (2 for WDDR-001 and 5 for WDDR-002) and find two different doubled dies without there being more out there. Either that, or my luck is just utterly fantastic

Just an update to the listing number for coppercoins. The CDDO-005 is actually 2009D-1DR-002 now. Once I get the CDDR-001/WDDR-001 from BJ, it will be coppercoins die-001 as well.
