    Question on Coneca 1942-D RPM#9 and #10 ?

I am going to locate some 1942-D RPM#9 / #10s I have in my collection, take pictues and post. However I have a question which I have always wondered about...

On Page 29 of the Wiles book there are pics of both #9 and #10. Is it my imagination or what... They appear to be the same RPM right down to the die markers.

They are indeed different when I cross reference the CONECA #s with with both CC and Wexler #s.

Is a picture wrong in the book?

    Wheat Cents,

They are the same pictures. The only difference that it could possibly be is the MM position. The Stage C is different. I beleive the used 1 picture because there so similar in the Stage A, B, C.

Thanks CCC ... I am not crazy . (well that is probably could be debated )

I do not think they used the same picture. However It does appear it is the same RPM.

Coneca does indeed have two listing up for #9 and #10 with different UVCs 118 and 119.

Maybe an old Errorscope corrected the discrepency.

I could tell by the spot inside the loop of the 9 that extended onto the 9. The dot on the vertical leg below the horzintal leg of the 4 and the lightning bolt or squigly line extending to the west at the bottom of the MM.

I do beleive it's the same coin but only different stages. The position of the MM is the same.

I would think that your right that Errorscope hopefully corrected the discrepency.
