1964D Cmm?

Crazy Mint Mark.. Ok call me super crazy.. But this P sure looks like it has a "D" mint mark over it?

Now that's pretty wierd. What's crazy is that you spotted that.

Dude.. It's a very slow process..But I have about 60lbs of lincolns 09-2007 to go through. Each one is going through the scope and then sorted by year. So I just happened to catch it because the date on the front was really really thick and so it needed further investigation.

It's most likely the "P" broke, but hell it sure looks like a perfect "D" over the top of the "P". What really makes it stand out is you can see the top of the P above it and the lower part below it.

Looks pretty cool to me, definitely looks like a lower serif, how is that even possible? Wow. Can you take one of those contrast pictures you have taken before (kind of grayish). Might show even better.
