I found these at todays coin show in Countryside IL. Why let Wheat Cents have all the fun? A 1953 D/D rpm 2 and a 1970 S proof Small Date. I paid a total of $4.50 for these two.

No. The guy had three 1970 S proofs in his cent binder. One was marked Small Date and the other two were marked Large Date. The one marked Small Date was a large date, and one of the two marked Large Date was a small date. I feel bad that someone may end up buying that large date thinking that they are getting a small date, but I didn't feel comfortable telling the dealer after I just paid $4 for his Small Date.

Way to go Brad.. I got my 1970-S Proof small date in the same method.. several years ago... for 1 dollar. Must be inflation. Just got done photoing my finds from today. Will post in a bit however, here is a pic of that 70-s Proof.

P.S one of the finds was a 53D RPM 1,
