1909S VDB Is It Real?

Picked up a collection of wheat cents today. And found this 1909S VDB. I know there are a lot of fakes out there. Could this be the real deal?

DISCLAIMER: not an expert and have never determined a fake from not. I just looked at Simons thread on the 09 S VDB and the mm position looks right and the VDB looks right. However wait for someone else to give you an answer I'm just trying to practice determining fake or not. Hope it's real!

From the looks of the MM I'd say it is not authentic but wear may have some influence on that. A close up of the VDB would help.

Looks like Mintmark location #4 in reference to PCGS's site.

Looks like an old cleaning and circulation wear and the pitting damage on the obverse, but from what I see it looks genuine!

I see nothing to tell me it is fake. Definitely not MS, but should be real.

I think it's ok but has some problems, damage and old cleaning.
I'd give it a try getting it in a PCGS genuine holder.

Was it a bargain set?

Didn't cost anything for the wheats. We're I get them I'm able to search and return them. No cost . We'll hope it's the real thing . I know it's not in the best shape . Makes it hard to tell.

Here is a picture of the small collection I got. Most of them came in old envelopes. The 1909s vdb i found in a small bag of mixed date. I was really shocked to see that one. Never thought I'd ever see one in hand. It's ugly but I'll take it. Now I just need to find the 1909S. Thx everyone for the help.
