I'm hoping Steven might contact me in arranging to examine and photograph his D-Mint Transitional variety. If I could examine and photograph it then I would add it to my files and publish it in the next issue of DVN which would even bring more publicity to these most interesting and well deserved varieties.

So dig this... I take car10's advise download Billys latest DVN and read through the RDV info. Then continue reading where he discusses Ken Russell's lastest quarter finds. Read to page 26.. go to my wife's quarter board look at the rev of the her Wyoming P Reverse.. and Wah-La ...
A 2007-P 25c WY CS CDDR-005 !
(I promise I won't post any more picture of quarters,... )
Tried lining the angle up on the shots with the ones in DVN, in case you wish to compare..

John's article in the April 08 Coin world as well as your's in a back issue of DVN about Mr Russell's daughter DDO discoveries was inspirational. and it is nice to see kids show an interest.Last edited by Wheat Cents; 04-23-2008, 06:55 AM.Lincoln Cent Variety EnthusiastComment

Car10,
You told me about 3 days ago to wait to get mine graded because it is going to be in the redbook for 2009. I was going to send it to James Wiles and give him the funds to send to ICG. But i will hold off until it hits the redbook. And also you said it is going to be in the new cherry pickers guide, when is that coming out i would like to get a copy of it.Comment

"These publications will improve the popularity of the variety but when the

As you can see from this exerpt, I said "IF" it makes the fifth edition of the CPG. I also said "IF" it makes The Red Book. I never said 2009. If you need me to resend the entire email please let me know. I don't know when the new CPG is coming out. I told you to keep checking back at LCR for that information because it is sure to be announced when it happens.Last edited by Guest; 05-03-2008, 09:43 AM.Comment

David,
I am REALLY sorry for the misunderstanding i was not trying to get you mad, So if i still send it to James Wiles to get graded it will be OK then?. It would be AWESOME if it does make it into the publications like you mentioned, and it would greatly make the VARIETY really popular and more VALUABLE. I see you have a RED smile face there i do not like to see that and i am VERY sorry.

PatrickIt is entirely up to you what you decide to do with your coin. I can't tell you what is the right thing to do.

Well, things are looking better all the time for the future of the 1988 transitional variety coins.
Last night I received a message from John Wexler asking me to send my coin to him to photograph for inclusion in the second edition of The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents, the book that he and Kevin Flynn are currently working on.
It's off to the post office now for my favorite coin. Bon Voyage and hurry home.Comment
