    1949 d - eds rpm-003

I believe this is an EDS example. The re-punching appears much stronger, also numerous die scratches are present not seen on the example at CC.

      Hello Mr Mike
Since I know nothing but want to learn, would you be kind enough to take a few minutes to point out what it is exactly I am look for in your pictures of the 1949 RPM. Picture 1 I see a small spot below the D. Picture 2 I see scratches going from across which appear to be under the date but not going across their tops. I have no idea if these attributes are anything. Picture 3 and 4 I have no idea.
      Thanks

Hi Jmills! The mark below the mint mark is the re-punched mint mark. All the tiny scratches are from polishing the die and can be used as markers for attribution, but will vary throughout the die state(EDS, MDS, LDS, early, middle and late). The last two pics are just so you can see the overall condition of the coin. This coin is special to me because it was stuck before the die had lots of wear.
