    1941-P DDO (unresolved)

Here are pics of a class vi ddo that I would like to get identified.

I have not been able to identify any definitive markers on it [e.g. die cracks, gouges, clashes, mint marks, etc.] so it is proving difficult to pinpoint the variety and no references to these suspected varieties [DDO-4/1DO-7 and 1DO-33] on centMDs cross-referencing stickies. Any insight into getting it attributed is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Ha, looks like my photo-editing only partially took -- Sorry for the upside down pics. I'll try and correct.

    I'm not 100% sure, but what do you think of 1DO-009 / WDDO-004 ?
Looks like a matching die scratch to the right of the D in GOD on your images.
Might be a matching die scratch on the right side of the first A (AMERICA) as well?

Aaarrgh, took too long and lost everything I typed.

Thanks for checking-out this -- 1DO-9 looks promising. These old and worn Philly coins are tough to attribute.

I don't readily see any corresponding scratches but, will check into it later [time willing] often these digital pics show more than I can see. I have several like this [P DDO/DDR] I have been working on lately so I am getting a bit fatigued. LOL, "Watch what you ask for, you may get it."

They are really hard when there is no mint mark to help you along.

Indeed, they are -- I have spent mucho time trying to identify Philly DDRs and DDOs (and have saved a lot of time on Philly RPMs).

I've heard of Philly cheesesteak but not Philly RPM's.

I know what you mean about details showing up in images that are hard to replicate in hand and vice versa.
Here are a couple of your images I've marked up to show what I was referring to near the D (GOD) and A (AMERICA).

That Philly cheesesteak sounds pretty good, even at 7AM.

Cannot forget about Philly cream cheese, or else we may not have cheesecake, mmmm.

Thank you for the markups -- I will look at it in a bit. Currently struggling a bit with a bathroom remodel.

May need to have my shower fixtures moved to the opposite wall because the toilet is in front of [and limiting access to] the sliding door that opens for entry to the shower.

Mmmmm... cheesecake would go well with coffee.

Tight spaces make for creative solutions! I've seen some people move the fixtures outside the shower or put the handles on different walls than the shower head.

Ha, those are interesting thoughts on a solution. I might end up having to [*gasp*] change a behavior (and warm up the water after I get in the shower rather than before).

I believe I see that die scratch on the obverse pic and it looks to be part of a longer gouge that is fairly wide. Unfortunately, at the moment I am having issues with the Windows laptop and cannot scope it. Also complicating things on this coin is that it is a woody.

On a side note: I think it also has a feeder finger at the first U of EPU.

I believe this one has been resolved. Jason called it early as DDO-4 and I did not really see it until I used the 1DO-7 markers and turned off the LEDs.
